CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties is honored to have the 17th Judicial District Victims Assistance and Law Enforcement (VALE) Program as a “Benefactor” partner. CASA Benefactors are individuals, businesses, and grantors that provide support for abused and neglected children at the $50,000 or more level.
The 17th Judicial District VALE Program has consistently supported CASA through its grants program, providing a grant in the amount of $58,767 in 2017. The VALE Program was created in 1984, by Colorado state law, to provide support to crime victims and law enforcement agencies in each Colorado Judicial District. VALE receives its funding from fees paid by those convicted of crimes. A Board of five community members appointed by the 17th Judicial District Chief Judge reviews grant requests each year. Because of the amazing work of our CASA volunteers providing direct service to abused and neglected child victims in the court system, CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties is eligible for VALE support and has graciously received it for the past 15 years!
“We so appreciate that we have partners in the business, private, and government sectors,” said CASA Executive Director Lindsay Lierman. “We are grateful to be counted among the grantees of the 17th Judicial District VALE Program, and we thank the members of the VALE Board for their service to our community and for their continued support.”
