Over 270 Individuals Turn Out in Support for the 2nd Annual Indulge for CASA
Over 270 individuals turned out in support for the 2nd Annual Indulge for CASA event benefitting CASA of Adams and Broomfield Counties. The event, held on the evening of July 24th at Balistreri’s Vineyard located in Denver, gave attendees the opportunity to taste 15 different Balistreri wines, indulge in gourmet hors d’oeuvres and desserts, and bid on over 40 premier silent and live auction items while mingling with other individuals committed to helping children who have been abused and neglected. One lucky CASA supporter who purchased a GrandLuxe Raffle Ticket won a luxury train trip for two. “Indulge for CASA provides an easy and enjoyable way for folks to help make a difference in the life of a child,” commented Simone Jones, Executive Director of CASA, “Who can resist an enjoyable evening at Balistreri’s Vineyard, especially when all proceeds from the event help provide children who have been victim’s of abuse with much needed advocacy?”
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Adams and Broomfield Counties is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that trains, supports and supervises community volunteers who advocate for the best interests of innocent child victims of abuse and neglect. Each year, in Adams and Broomfield Counties, there are over 1,500 children who have been physically, sexually or emotionally abused or neglected, and who are in desperate need of a caring, committed CASA Volunteer to speak up for their best interests. In Adams and Broomfield Counties, there are over 120 CASA volunteers, and we are in need of more great community members to become advocates for children. CASA conducts volunteer training classes three times a year. Our next class begins September 2nd. For more information about CASA, call (303) 654-3378 or click on the Volunteer link.
