Committee Objective...

In an effort to raise much needed funding for CASA and awareness about the organization and the work that it does in the community, the CASA
Classic Golf Tournament Planning Committee works to organize and
execute a golf tournament. The committee helps with all event logistics, makes recommendations on event details and helps secured sponsors, ditty bag items, prizes, golfers, etc.

Committee Meeting Info...

The planning committee meets approximately once a month, beginning a year advance. Meetings increase slightly in frequency closer to event date.

Current meetings take place during the lunch hour at City View Park located at 5800 Franklin Street in Denver.

Last Year's Event Was Huge Success...

More than $47,600 was raised at the 9th Annual CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Classic Golf Tournament held on May 25, 2011 at Hyland Hills Golf Course in Westminster, CO.  One-hundred and fifty-two golfers teed off in support of CASA of Adams & Broomfield Counties and its work in recruiting, training and supervising community volunteers to advocate on behalf of children who have been abused and neglected.

This year’s event featured nationally renowned, 7-year-old golf prodigy Braden Bozak, who offered participating golfers the opportunity to test their skills against him.  None were able to revel Bozak’s abilities, but all were winners in their effort to raise much needed funds for CASA and its efforts. 

Although no one golfer was able to prove to be a match for Bozak, golfers competed head-to-head in two categories on the course.  The friendly competition produced two winning teams...
